    Yep.

Kim and i I drove up the night before from Seattle and had nothing to do the next day so we wondered up to the venue around 9:30 am expecting to find a line. We didn't know if we were lost or what, but we asked a security guy we found wandering around and sure enough, we were first in line at the main entrance! So we thought, what the hell, when does a chance like this come up? So we stayed the whole, 9 hours or whatever it turned out to be. As far as i could tell, i was the first person in the venue. We were front row, slightly right of center, right up against the railing. That bit where Bjork sings semi-acapella in Pagan Poetry--she was about six feet away from us.

So needless to say, it was a lot of fun. And i have finally seen Bjork live, which i have wanted to do for... about 18 years now. Wow.

It was actually only the second big rock-and-roll type show i've ever seen (i saw Depeche Mode at Red Rocks in about 1988), so i can't really judge the performance relative to other acts. She seemed a little tired or maybe even bored with some of the first songs, several of which were old material. But she definitely perked up with the new stuff, and with the roaring dancey ones later on.

The final encore was Declare Independence. She had the entire audience roaring `HIGHER!!! HIGHER!!!' It was a blast.

Oh! I think I remember seeing you....I was about ten people behind you in line...got there about 3pm with my friend Sarah. It was such an amazing show! That finale was, as you say, amazing and soooooo inspiring. Best show I have ever seen, handsdown!

Woah! Freaky. Well, tribe is where all the best people hang out. :-)

Actually one of the nicest things at the show for me was the girl with the crazy-colored hair who was about 5th in line or so. She hurt her leg while she was waiting for the gate to open, but everybody who got to the front row saved her a space anyway. She was actually crying with gratitude when she limped up later.

All in all i was really pleased to see how mellow and friendly people waiting for the show were.
