I think I've seen them all and not a single one disappointed me, they're so lovingly crafted and unique in their own ways.
I just can't choose which one I love most.....it could possibly be 'Hyperballad'.......or 'Big Time Sensuality' because I (like most people) would love to go mental on the back of a trailer through a city.......or 'All is full of love' - this one just speaks for itself, WOW.

Any of you have a particular favourite music video she's done?

  • 'ello folks

personally, I like the older stuff better than the new...due to the over production of the special affects of the newer videos.

my favorite is either big time sensuality or venus...i love how simple and visually engaging they are.

don't get me wrong, i love the new as well...i just think the special affects get a bit cheesy sometimes...

doesn't matter tho...she's got her vision in her head and what i like the best is that she follows that vision 100%
    • I love all of them, especially the older ones. Regarding Venus As a Boy: My daughter (7) LOVES this video. She calls it "the egg song". hee hee. She often asks me to watch the whole DVD compilation with her. The only video she doesn't like is actually one of my favorites: Isobel. I think it might just be my very favorite, actually...
  • "All is Full of Love" is a true masterpiece

I also adore "Isobel" for it's style, and "Bachelorette" for it's ingenuity.

And hunter, with it's beauty and simplicity is up there (plus it's probably my favourite bjork song)

Hunter is hands down the sexiest thing I've ever seen.

And I agree about All is Full of Love -- masterpiece.

I like pretty much all of the Michael Gondry vids -- Bachelorette, Human Behavior, Isobel, Hyperballad for its 'visual counterpoint,' etc.

And Big Time Sensuality just because it's fun and happens to be my favorite song.

And that Spike Jonze one for It's In Our Hands that they must have shot with a starlight scope or something.

Gee, come to think of it, I guess I pretty much like them all...

      Except Joga.
      • Come on!
Why is nobody mentioning "I miss you"??
You know, with the crazy cartoon - and in the end she bytes off this chicken's head I think...
        it's super creative!

Also I think all is full of love is brilliant - because of it's unease and beauty.
        • she rips it in half. i didn't mention it because i don't particularly like it, although in general i like krifalusi's stuff (i loved the first season of ren & stimpy, cartoon brilliance)

Its in our hands. Its infared. Like the nightvision on most modern camcorders. Just shot a short film (took around 8 hours) and then we watched Bjork videos, after which we impersonated them and my girlfriend reenacted this impish video that I think proves that Bjork is truly fairyfolk.
  • Human Behavior

that's what got me into bjork when i was in high school. i saw the video on late night with mtv (i think it was kennedy's late night show or something) and after seeing that i knew i had to get Debut. i don't know if it was something about seeing the video late at night, or something about the video itself or the music, but i just loved it all. that's all.

    bjork rocks
    i love you bjork
    • I just watched my room mates DVD of a collection of her video's.

I just couldn'y beleive how completely different they all are. They are all so beautiful and unique in their own way.

Though I would say, Possibly Maybe id my favorite because I love all of her different looks and the way the video is done with such brilliant color and texture. I also love when she's just putting on her lipstick. :)

        hello goth kitty!
possibly maybe, if I had to choose, would be my favourite bjork song and video.

its truly captures the mental spaces and narratives I travel through. I am gonna watch it now...

(ps big time sensuality is also mesmerizing)

Hunter is not only my favorite song, but also my favorite music video. Everything she does is amazing! I have her new music video on my myspace profile- fucking beautiful. Bjork knows what art's all about!!!
    • i noticed something very interesting about the pagan poetry video.. something i didn't notice until i watched it over and over again after i saw her concert here in seattle on the pier.. i show it to my friends who love her as much as i do - sometimes more - and they finally saw it too, easily..
in the beginning mainly, and some after the first chorus, there are bunches of waivey lines that move and don't seem to make much sense.. i knew previously that the whole vespetine album, especially pagan peotry was about sex.. that's when i saw it -
an image of a female crotch riding up and down on top of a male's.. you can even see the man's penis pull back and enter her! there are similar shots like this throughout the video, all in the same waivey lines, mixed throughout the imagery of her piercing herself..

watch it and let me know if anyone else sees the same! it may take a couple times!!
      • 'pagan poetry' is actually my fave bjork video (all the 'vespertine' clips are astounding)....and yeah, i spotted that one, too, and wondered if anyone else had spotted it.....
  • does Bjork have a video collection besides the greatest hits collection? where can i see the vids that i haven't seen on TV or on the Grtst Hits DVD?
    • if you use winamp (at work, for example), there is a server streaming bjork videos 24/7 (has been for months), it's in the media library under 'internet tv'. kind of repetitive after, oh, a day or so (there's a long concert video) but still cool!

i recently located a version of 'you only live twice' as sung by bjork - faithful orchestra arrangements, her voice covers the songs ranges amazingly. one of my favorite minidisc 'soundtrack' tunes listened to while driving a pink rickshaw at BM this year :)

Does anyone know if the vid for 'Who Is It?' has hit yet? Bjork.com says it was premiered somewhere, but not if it is generally available yet. I don't have cable TV (yes, I know, I'm stuck in the dark days of the 20th century), so I have to figure out where and how to see it.
