was going through my bjork concert videos last night and was surprised to hear how great she sounded on this tour. It was actually the best concert i've ever been to, right up there with Kraftwerk at the Warfield. It was back during the days where she was not as huge as she is today (still very popular though) and you could actually feel her close to you. This concert moved me in a great way. Still love her. ONly wish I could meet her in person!!!

i feel you joe...i would love to meet björk as well.
where did this video take place? i don't think it is in my collection. what was she wearing?
i love going back to old björk vids, they are classic and timeless, just like her music. i was sewing the other day to her music. just singing and sewing, singing and sewing. it is one of my favorite things to do. her music tends to reawaken so many old feelings, which is why i have to be selective with when i choose to listen to her music. it is very emotional for me.
i would love to hear from other people. this tribe has been neglected for a while, and i blame myself. it's time to explore the different world that björk gives us! -

Hi Bori - the video for this particular concert I believe was filmed in London. I was lucky enough to see her on this tour when she played in San Francisco at the Warfield, I believe it was circa 99 or 00? it's funny how fast time passes. She was wearing a plain white dress and when she opened up her arms it looked like she had wings. She was singing and dancing around barefoot, sippin wine between songs. it was awesome! I too get emotional when listening to her songs, i think they are supposed to have that effect on people. I hope to be able to one day see her perform again.
you know she's got a movie out right now - "Drawing Restraint" - it is also supposed to have her original music in it? anyone seen it? I'm very interested in it, but have not been able to check it out yet, oh and this movie will not be released on dvd ever, as it is part of an art project of sorts? - it is an interesting concept to say the least. -

i would imagine that the "wings dress" is the one that i posted as the main photo. ;-)
what a great concert that must've been - i know that san fran has incredible creative energy and i am sure there was an energy exchange b/w björk and the audience.
the first time i saw her live i wept for the entire concert. it was 1 month after 9/11 in nyc. it was the vespertine tour, so you can imagine how powerful it was.
a couple of years later i saw her twice at coney island in brooklyn. that was fun b/c it was in a baseball stadium on the beach. there were fireworks and it was in the open air. we managed to spark up some "fireworks" of our own at both shows as well...
i haven't seen dr9 yet though. anyone see it? i had no idea that it wouldn't be released on dvd. this means i must find it in nyc...
